On Tuesday, October 29, 2014, we discussed tax planning strategies with healthcare professionals at the Old Mill in Toronto (Etobicoke). The wealth planning event, organized by RBC Dominion Securities, also included presentations by a Toronto based lawyer and investment advisor.
Our presentation focussed on the use of professional corporations by medical practitioners and the various tax strategies that can be implemented to minimize overall taxes paid, split income with family members and minimize tax on the eventual sale of a practice.
